OVERVIEW
This project redesigns UCLA’s Courtyard of Theaters near McGowan Hall. The goal was to create a space where students and faculty can work independently or collectively, and where theatergoers can connect before and after shows. The new design leaves the three existing trees in place and adds a statue to connect it to the adjacent Murphy Sculpture Garden. The existing site lacks seating and amenities and is rarely utilized by students.
